I bought a Remington 870 Super Mag. with a synthetic stock for ducks and geese because it was cheap and I knew wouldn't feel so bad if I accidently dropped it in the river. It is pretty light weight. I don't seem to notice the recoil when shooting at geese wearing several layers of clothes. However, I only patterned it with 3-1/2 shells once wearing a tee shirt. The recoil was something I don't ever want to experience again!
