Well the trigger on my L1A1 is now much more acceptable. Thanks to all who responded. After testing at the range yesterday and adjusting the gas port to handle a variety of ammo I noticed that with some ammo that seemed to have better velocity; I left the chronograph at home; and with the gas port on a lower number, hence a heftier ejection that some brass was being dinged rather good on the neck. I traced the ding to the formost part of the ejection port that is not champhered like the rest. About 1/4 inch or so. The question is; can I champher this like I have done other rifles to give the brass better clearence for ejection or is there something inhearant in the design that would keep the bolt from functioning properly. How about it George or Mad Dog, any experience along these lines. Thanks much, Bob
