This is a full-fledged panic - reason and rational thinking just aren't coming into it.
The only positive I can think of is that there are bound to be some new shooters among those creating this run on firearms, and so there are some more voters with something to protect in the gun control debate.
But, sheesh, yes, this is getting bizarre.
