If you try to pour 40 grains FFFg GOEX into a 45 Colt casing the powder will spill over therefore "when you pick it up" it will not have your 40 grains of powder in it. If you use a drop tube then you can get the 40 grains of FFFg powder in deep enough to used a compression plug to compress it to your desired depth.
