I'm always the odd man out on this topic.
I have little to no use for the .357mag.
having said that,,,,

I believe the .357 mag is the single most versatile caliber there is.
Little to nothing comes close to it in that regard.
It's at home in anything from a tiny pocket revolver to a long barreled lever action.

My lack of use for the caliber stems only from the fact that I don't really care for the guns it's chambered for.
The only two that come close are the S&W Model 19 & my Cowboy II Marlin.
Even those never see .357 mag loads. I prefer to shoot .38 spl in them.
