Definitetly a proven design and there are a gazillion of them in use throughout the word. The French bought a QUARTER MILLION of them from SIG and is why we can purchase them at such a rediculously low price as the R&D and capitalization costs have been paid for the SIG Pro a long time ago and SIG had actually discontinued the SP2022 but brought it back as a regular item due to the overwhelmingly postive response from those of us who snapped up the French contract overrun batch.
