I used petroleum jelly for many years and you can stick a 30-06, 300 Weatherby, 338 or a 378 Weatherby case in your resizing dies. I've stuck a few cases over the years with petroleum jelly and since changing over to Imperial sizing wax, I haven't stuck a case yet. Never stuck anything smaller than an '06 with petroleum jelly, if that counts for anything.
Unless you load a lot, I doubt you will ever have a problem with petroleum jelly - if you do load a lot of big bore calibers, then I would say Ole Man Murphy will find you sooner or later and you won't be a happy camper with that guy.
