'Most-all Mossberg Shotguns that I know of have aluminum receivers, so moisture is not that much of a worry anyway. The biggest problem may be where moisture could come up against a steel part in the gun and cause it to rust.

Another thing that you can do is to open the action and hit it for a few minutes with a blow dryer. That can tend to drive moisture out of places that you cannot get to, or maybe even see.
