Otis system works. Been using for many years before competiton skeet etc. Use it for everything and yes it protects the crown.
Small enough to deep in range bag, etc. yes it will clear a stuck wad, or squib load.
If out hunting will usually keep, if not the whole kit, just the caliber in pocket needed in case of problem afield.
Still have the one pc rods, when gun apart and can clean from breech ,
might use , usually stick with otis.
BTW, great people, and IIRC FP10 is what comes with kit, all I use anyway(FP10)
