Two sides to every coin. I do own 2 older Ruger P95s and they give excellent service. Love the gun and recommend it. Easy to use, maintain, and they've had thousands of rounds down range through both without any failures.

The other side of the coin is the Taurus. Can't go wrong with either pistol that you pick. Pick the one that fits you and your needs.

By the way, there are thousands of satisfied Taurus owners out there.

I can bring all the thousands of links for that if need be.

Here's the info on the Taurus pistol.

Or go to: http://www.taurusarmed.net/forums/index.php?board=26.0

That's the 24/7 board.
There is also the:

Or just ask over at that forum about the actual owners' guns, browse the site, or do research by searching.

Posts: 680 Pick the one that fits you as they are all good pistols.
Have Taurus PT111 Mil/pro and the PT22.
Also have the Ruger P95 and P97.

Heck even the SIG 225/P6 police turn in guns are excellent picks. Shotgun News and other periodicals have them for sale cheap.

Nothing wrong with the Bersa either. Almost got one.

As for the Ruger and 24/7 Tauri go:

Since this is about what fits you and your needs that's what to go with.
Try them all out and see what fits you.

For example, my hands are small and have short fingers as well. Thus a single stack pistol (SIG P6), or a PT111, or the 24/7 will be a good ergonomic fit.

The Bersa is a standard DA/SA trigger. Long hard first pull for the first shot and then each follow up shot is light single action.
Rugers are the same.

24/7s are DAO type trigger pistols. And the 24/7s have restrike capability. May or may not be important to you.

DAO type triggers take a whole different mind set, discipline, and set of training techniques to become and stay proficient.

If you have prior experience and are proficient with a certain trigger type, why not stay with that type.

There you have it.
