The MKIII series debuted in 1969, but it was replaced by the MKV series in the early 1980s. There was no "MKIV" series in Colt revolvers. The MKV had the Colt V frame, and the MKIII had the Colt J frame. The MKV troopers were replaced by the King Cobra. MKV guns as a whole are scarce compared to MKIII revolvers. A MKV has been on my want list for sometime now, mostly just for the scarcity factor. Colts are also great investments, as most everyone knows.
