I personally think that the 180gr bullets are the perfect all around ideal bullet weight for the 300WinMag, but, 76.5gr. of Reloader 19 and either Sierra Gameking 165gr HPBTs or 165gr Nosler BTs are very hard to beat for the LONG range Whitetail rifle, and I have seen that load produce incredible accuracy in several 300s that shot nothing else very well in barrel lengths from 22-26 inches. For Elk and the like I prefer 180gr Trophy Bonded Bear Claws. They are very impressive and usually shoot much better than Nosler Partitions.
