Hi Skorzeny, I do have the Benelli (second one owned) and the 1100. Have had 870s and still have a couple of Win 1200s. I have shot them all quite a bit and competed in some IDPA/IPSC matches with the Benelli/870.

I may have too much time with the Remingtons as I am not really happy with my Benelli. The problem stems from my opinion that the 1100/870 series is simply more user friendly. They are not as fast and not as accurate (IMHO) but I have a lot of trigger time with them.

If this is your first, you will probably do fine with the Benelli. If not, might want to be prepared to be a little frustrated.

BTW - the Beretta seems to be the "Chevvy" (as compared to the Benelli "Caddy"). I have several buddies who really like the Beretta better.
