A purely subjective opinion about the BLR: I hate the looks of them. That personal opinion aside, from everything I've heard and read, they're fine rifles. If it were me, I'd haunt the gun shows and pawn shops til I found a nice Savage 99 or a Winchester 88 chambered in .358. Unfortunately, the problem with that strategy is those two rifles are getting kind of pricey.
