i am new to this site and thrilled to join but i have a question i shoot 55gr 223 rounds i have a 3x9x40 scope i want to learn the challenges of long range with this rifle i shoot out to 175 yrs fine but i got to shoot at around 400yrs and could hit the target granted it was small but how much drop happens at that range and im not real sure how to range a target using a scope is it even possible by using cross hairs and mildots ? i would appreciate any info cause i love this gun and want to push myself to longer shots until i get a bigger rifle thanks
