I've used regular 180 grain Ballistic Tips in my M70, loading them in once-fired Winchester brass with a Winchester standard large rifle primer and 61.0 grains of ReLoder 22. (This is max. in my Nosler manual, and 1 grain under max with a 180 in the Speer manual. NO sign of excess pressure in my rifle, I could probably go a bit hotter, but YMMV, so work up carefully, etc. )

Chronographed velocity is around 2740 or so out of my "slow" 22 inch barrel, and five rounds go into about three quarters of an inch - as good as any "match" bullet in that rifle.

The ballistic tips I shot at game expanded violently, damaging a lot of meat on impala. On the other hand, that expansion was MOST appreciated on a leopard I took in Zimbabwe some years ago.
