1: Yes, a bore brush is ok to clean the cylinder. I assume you mean the charge holes (chambers), if so a bigger bore brush than you would use for the bore would help. i.e. a well used .45 brush in a .38/.357 magnum cylinder's chambers.

2: "GunScrubber", "Gunk-Out" etc are fine for cleaning a semi-automatic's innards. Brake cleaner works just fine too.

3: Magazine springs don't normally require lubing. If you need to do so use a lube that will not contaminate primers and attract grit.
