When I shot IPSC, I used 5.8 grains of 231 behind a 200SWC in my 1911. Being too lazy to reset the powder measure, I just loaded some .44 Mag plinkers with that amount of powder behind a 240SWC.

Lo! And Behold! It worked just fine on paper, and trivial recoil out of a Redhawk.

You can diddle around of course, to see if a bit more powder helps accuracy...Whatever.
