You can get a block from hdps that doest require smithing.

Easy parts to get for compliance are

Trigger
Piston op rod
Mag floor plate
Mag follower
M16 magwell and use GI mags will count as 3 parts
Piston
Barrel
G36 pmag will count as 3 if it ever comes out and you use the g36 magwell
Promag single stack mag counts as 3 if you keep the sl8 magwell
Bolt

Anyhow these conversions end up costing a lot. I personally like the chopstix chop conversion the best.
