I've one that's slightly simular, Mine being identical in looks to a k98 Marked "Deutsch SportModell" with various obviously German manufacture proof marks (can't remember where in germany it was made, and I'm not at home to look).

Origin is most likely German Military, with date of manufacture being early 30's... Like I said I'm not %100 sure about that and Our two guns are definately different makes but they sound like they served and identical purpose.
