From the research I’ve done FrogLube is supposed to be vegetable based. For long term storage the manufacturer recommends putting a layer of past on and not wiping it off. It’s also touted as being water resistant. After cleaning my firearms I wash my hands and I can still feel and smell FL on my hands so I believe it is.
The biodegradable part has me confused because it protects a firearm from the element but is supposed to breakdown if left out in elements.
Since you have some try it I think you find it does what they claim.
