I'm glad this thread came up and has lasted as long as it has. By page 4 I was expecting someone to get a fuss going about the lack of honest wear marks, brass rubs, dents & dings, etc. I even wondered if anyone would mention all the dry bolts... those of us who've been here a few years would like to have a nickle for every time someone's offered the advice that AR bolts have to be dripping/swimming/sloshing with oil to even run.

ARs should most definitely be run wet, no problems if they are dry and clean but when they get dirty they should be wet.
