I have a star model BS that i just got. The problem i am having is that the slide release engages after every shot. if i hold it down with my finger while i shoot it shoots perfect.

Now the slide release is a half a hair to small i think because it will fall out with no force, it is actually being held in by a cotter pin. So should i have to find a new part or could i just file off the part that engages the slide stop. Oh and it is just for range and around the house use not ccw.
