Some Winchesters were made in Japan. The Win model 101, the Win 94, the Win 1886. the Win 92 are made in Japan. As far as I know, Winchester Model 70 rifles were either made in New Haven Conn, or Columbia, SC. The Model 70s currently produced in Columbia, SC by FN are reportedly some of the best ever produced in terms of accuracy and dependability, well in line with the best pre-64s produced in New Haven.
