I am very informed as to the destructiveness of feral hogs, as well as their tasty ribs, sausage, and hams
However, I still think that killing a sow that is still nursing piglets is not best hunting ethics. If I were going to kill the mamas, I'd have given some serious thought to harvesting the piglets as well. If they're going to die, I'd rather dispatch them quickly than let them starve or be eaten by predators. (And you know, suckling pig is a delicacy too...) If they're not picked off by predators, they'll starve. Hardly earth-shaking, ethically speaking...but not best practice, either.
