I think I would get a Glock. Magazines are cheap and of very good quality, the gun runs great right out of the box, they are accurate enough, and aftermarket sights and things like that are readily available and reasonably priced. I would set it up with Dawson fiber optic sight in the front and a quality steel adjustable rear, extended mag release, some grip tape, straight drop Kydex holster, and GO!!
I really like the CZ-75 too. A Para P18 LDA would also be a nice gun.
