It's not uncommon for staggered magazines to feed better from one side than the other. I'd call Savage Customer Service, since, if it's happened before, they will already know about it. It can be due to asymmetry in the magazine feed lips. It can be inadequate spring tension. You can also look for rub marks on the plastic follower that indicate it might be dragging on one side.
