A collection could be built around either one of these. The No.3 American in .44 Rimfire, .44 American centerfire, the models of the Russian contract, the Turkish contract, and of course the Schofield, all of which were No.3s.
The Colt 1851 Navy was made in several variations, plus the patent evasion models, and the cartridge conversions.
The point is, your collection can be whatever you want to make it.
