Didn't believe it till I saw it myself. With a M&P15-22 and EOTECH optics I watched a shooter drop shots into a 18 inch bull at 300 yards. 13 out of the 20 shots fired broke paper. When the wind picked up the shots went everywhere. I watched one trace actually change direction twice. Cadence fired shots followed each other into the paper. And it wasn't even match ammunition. So,for me, the answer is yes. The .22 will reach 300 yards.
