It's very hard to beat Savage when it comes to bang for the buck.
As far as the rifle the only thing I would recommend is getting the HS precision stock instead of the accustock
As for glass I also don't think Leopold is worth the money
There are plenty of good scopes in the $1000-$1500 price range
