I talked with our club's top shooter that uses an M&P 9. He has thousands through his, and noted a frustrating dropoff in accuracy as of late. I don't know if the barrel has been replaced or if it's been back to the factory.
Have a look at the CZ P01. I can't say enough good things about it, especially with a few minor tweaks. Ergonomics are outstanding.
