I've run into the same problem. Depending on where you shoot, you may run into somebody at your club\range that is very good with the 1911 platform.
This was what I did, since we have many bullseye shooters at my club and some of them are super 1911 mechanics. Quite a few do their own trigger work and such.
Maybe I'm just lucky. Just a thought. Maybe you can asked around your favorite shooting place and find a smith that comes recommended.
