I have a Colt 1911 Government. The barrel length is 5" and the OL is 8.5". I never take the pistol out of the house so I do not have a holster. On July 1 a local indoor gun range is scheduled to open. I plan to go there several times a week (depending on availability and affordability of ammo
) to prcatice target shooting.
Assuming that the range has no rule requiring holsters, is there any reason I can't just stick the pistol inside my belt or waistband? I've tried it in the house and it seems reasonably safe/secure. I'm going to transport the pistol in a locked case which I will open inside the range.
