I guess I just cannot respond to the iniitial question of firearm replacement without suggesting the politians not the firearm be replaced. The last I knew this is a Constitutionally goverened country made up of the People. Don't replace the weapon, replace the person in office put there by the People who is legislating you into criminal status. If the majority want a ban and you cannot live with that then relocate where the People share your thoughts and vote accordingly. Or buy two AR's, ammo and a couple of long term storage tubes while you try to "throw the bum out".
