I recently met a Recon Marine who swears by this:

The thing has a great feel to it, and has the recoil of a .223.

It is a Socom 16 action and barrel in a Bulldog 7.62 stock made by ShortRifles.

If there is a "best" .308 battle rifle, this is it.
