the Magnum Research in 45-70 is going to be my next revolver for sure(unless I go to the police academy then its gonna be a revolver in .357 mag), the long barreled version ofcourse I also agree it would be a nice gun for deer. Here in Ohio we can only use shotguns with slugs or revolvers. I havent got a deer yet with the shotgun but I believe I"m better with the revolver, so hopefully I"ll get one this year with the Casull
