Wow!! Never use WD40 on a gun. A couple of years ago one of our deputy's while attempting to qualify with his duty weapon could not get even one round in his 15 round mag to go bang. It was because he had use WD40 on his gun the year before after qualifying and the penetrating oil did what penetrating oil does and all his primers where kaput. The worst thing is he had been carrying that weapon on duty for a year.Thank god he did not have to use it.

Sorry, if he hadn't cleaned or more importantly inspected his gun / ammo in a year...I would hardly blame WD40 or whatever lube he used. Sounds like he needs some remedial training in weapons maintenance.
