Start with the 1860. And that pretty engraving on the cylinder, I do not believe it enhances the gun. A good shooter is of more value to me than a "pretty" gun. You will end up owning both anyway.
It really depends on your preference, the 1851 points great etc. I believe the 1860 is a better gun overall.
If you are like most of us, you will end up with many models made by many companies. The 1860 is good place to start.
