What pistol powders?

Red Dot and Unique, while dirty, are probably two of the best for this application.

In my .300 Savage I used to use a 130-gr. lead bullet and 10-grains of Red Dot.

Gave me about 1,400 fps and was DEADLY accurate, under an inch at 50 yards.

I didn't measure at 100, but I suspect it would have opened up a little a 100 yards, but it would have still been very acceptable.

These rounds played living hell with the squirrel population of Central Pennsylvania for a couple of years.

For subsonic using buckshot, I'd say that 5 grains would be more than enough.
