I agree with Redhawk5.5. If you're not a reloader, the best BANG for your buck is Remington UMC 180gr SP. Usually can pick 'em for $25-35 in 50rd boxes. Lots of slow-burning powder under a lightweight 180gr bullet makes an impressive fireball and overpressure sound, especially if you have a short barrel or muzzle brake/compensator. Nearly as loud as the deer hunters scoping-in their 12ga shotguns with 3" magnum slugs at the indoor range..

My favorite 'shooter' .44 Mag is my blue 1994 Taurus M44 with 8" compensated barrel.
