I've got a Ruger LCP and while the trigger is a long, long pull, its smooth and fairly accurate. I've got large hands, which makes it more difficult to control, but rapid fire at 7 yards and the gun is still accurate enough to drop a full mag on target. Slow fire and the gun is plenty accurate at 7 yards.
Sounds like she has a funky trigger on hers.
