Don't know about the feasibility of shooting a 410 out of a 45-70 but there was a thread a while back on a different forum that discussed shooting shot from a rifled barrel. The example was a 12 ga shotgun with a slug barrel. The concensus was, while you could do it without damage to the barrel or rifling, the shot string will be influenced by the barrel twist (rifling) and greatly open up the pattern of the shot. Not deemed a desirable thing to do.
