I purchased an H&R 999 in the spring many years ago and had completely worn it out by summers end. Not because of a lack of quality on the guns part but because of the shear enjoyment I received from shooting it. Over the course of that one summer I fired in excess of 10,000 rounds through it. Granted the H&R lacks the glamor of a Smith & Wesson model 17 but I don't think it can be be beat in terms of accuracy or "fun factor". Mine was a 6" and I would highly recommend one to anyone.

We live in a time in which attitudes and deeds once respected as courageous and honorable are now scorned as being antiquated and subversive.
