It's been 10 years or so since I've bought any magazines, so I don't know if McCormick's are the same now as then.

Assuming their QC remained high, they had some of the tightest specs for magazine tubes.

I didn't have uniform luck with their V-shaped followers, however, so I replaced them with round-top Pachmyer followers. This converted the 8-rd magazines to standard 7-rd capacity.

Over time, I replaced the springs with Wolff springs.

I like 1/4" rubber pads, so all of my magazines have the thin Pachmyer pads.

As previously stated, I like them to drop free when I hit the magazine release.
