Yes, they are S&W 4506s, with adjustable sights. I am told that LAPD permits this model for carry, in lieu of the Beretta 92FS. I do not know if this claim is valid, but my source is reliable.

As for the film itself, well, it does not do any favors for law enforcement. We are a long way from Jack Webb.
