I just recently fine-tuned a load for my .25-06, rebarreled .270 Win model 70 with a 26-inch Hart barrel:
Hornady 120gr HP, Rem case, CCI 250 primer, H1000 50.0 grains, bullet seated 0.020" from the leade: 4 shots at 100 yards measured 0.2742"
Sierra 120gr HP, same load as above but seated 0.015" from the leade: 4 shots at 100 yards: 0.368"
I have yet to chronograph these loads
