Night Vision or NVGs(Night Vision Goggles) have been around in various forms for decades.
I read a recent media article(taken from the book;
No Easy Day) that stated the NVGs now in use by spec ops & tier one groups(SAD, ISA, ACE, DevGru, etc) cost up to $65,000.00
each!
There are older & surplus units on the open market but those are not cheap either;

These items are under tight US customs & DoC(dept of commerce) regulations too. They may not be allowed to leave the US or be sold overseas.
