Someone mentioned the mil surplus WC846 powder and I have used it for a number of years and it works very well indeed in either the 223 or 308. It is suggested that you follow the load data as though you were loading BLC2 powder with slight reduction. Flows like water in the powder thrower and seems to provide very good accuracy. You can also buy it for about 65.00 for an 8 lb jug. Negatives? I believe it is a little dirty compared to Varget, RE15,etc., but I don't mind cleaning the rifle
