The larger the tube, generally the more internal adjustment that you have. With your 20 MOA base and that cartridge, you should probably only need another 10 minutes or so to get out to 1,000 yards.

A 30 mm tube is more than enough, and it is hard to beat a Nightforce scope for the price and what they offer.... The only thing close to the NXS line is the Vortex.
