i was thinking about the maverick but now i'm completely sold on the 870. 12 gauge. i went on a very nice goose\duck hunting trip about a week ago and had a chance to try out a bunch of different shotguns. i like the 870 a lot. it's a solid gun. looks like i'm going to have to get a sporting barrel of some kind in addition to the riot barrel.
